This is the film I've watched recently, and I must say it's brilliant in it's simplicity. It's a collection of 11 short stories, all of which involve two or more characters simply sitting at a table, conversing over coffee and cigarettes. Of course it might sound boring at first to you, but believe me it's not. Jim Jarmusch (director) did a great job to to show human nature and life in general in a subtle sarcastic way. The cast of the film is also great(e.g. Iggy Pop, Jack and Meg White, Bill Murray, Steve Buscemi, Steve Coogan, Alfred Molina), almost all the actors play themselves which adds to the depth of the film. The stories are sort of linked to each other which makes the film a slightly surreal and dream-like.
I highly recommend it to all lovers of coffee and cigarettes ;)
Hey I noticed this was in your favorite movies too. I haven't seen it, but that is a god-tier cast list. I'll add it to my Netflix queue right now.

ReplyDeletei remember seeing part of this, the part with jack and meg white, or jack and some other guy talking, i forgot, but it was cool.
ReplyDeleteAs for the movies ive seen recently, i just came back from watching "your highness" a few minutes ago, and last weekend i saw "insidious" which was an AWESOME horror movie.
